program areas





mental health and addiction support



Gather, Learn and Cultivate Inc. (GLC) plans to offer walk-in behavioral health support, community psychoeducation groups, and structured support groups for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. These services are intended to reduce stigma, improve understanding of symptoms and recovery, create low-barrier access points for care, and connect participants to ongoing treatment and support delivered by licensed and trained staff.



gun violence intervention



GLC plans to implement a hospital violence intervention program to engage victims of gun violence at the hospital or in the immediate aftermath of injury. Hospital-based violence intervention models are designed to use this critical moment to provide crisis response, emotional support, safety planning, and connection to longer-term services that can reduce reinjury, retaliation, and continued exposure to violence.



incarceration and reentry



The Gray Effect is GLC’s jail-based intervention program for justice-involved individuals, using a trauma-informed violence-reduction curriculum to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, accountability, and healthier decision-making before release. The Gray Aftereffect extends this work into the reentry period by helping participants address trauma, substance use, treatment access, employment barriers, and other risks that can lead to relapse or recidivism after incarceration.



Services





Group therapy



Connecting with others in similar situations can make the journey to recovery less lonely. Licensed therapists with Solutions Behavioral Health will provide group sessions at the GLC facility to promote community healing.



individual therapy



Sometimes a more personal environment is best. Individual sessions with a licensed SBH therapist will provide a private space to open up.



medication assisted treatment



MAT can be a critical tool in overcoming significant behavioral health conditions like Substance Use Disorder. We recognize this need, and through our partner VTelemedicine PLLC offer MAT services to those that need it.



wellness groups



Through Ultimate Fitness here in Saginaw, we are proud to offer weekly fitness and wellness groups. Studies have repeatedly shown engagement in such activities can be extremely beneficial to mental health.




nutrition education



Ultimate Fitness provides nutrition guidance to give participants a more rounded wellness education. Diet, good or bad, can have a tremendous effect on mental wellbeing.



housing assistance



For those in our Aftereffect Hub program, case managers and peer navigators will assist participants in securing housing referrals. GLC is dedicated to helping people meet their basic needs so that they can focus on recovery.



employment assistance



Case managers and peer navigators with the Aftereffect Hub program will assist participants with employment concerns. Job hunting, referrals, and other assistance will be provided at the GLC facility.



crisis intervention



GLC plans to implement a hospital-based intervention program to provide immediate mental health support following community violence and other devastating incidences in Saginaw County.
